Harper calls Calgary

Calgary is the largest city in the province of Alberta in Canada, and the third largest city (in terms of population) in the country. Calgary is a popular winter sports hub, with very few major ski resorts close to the city and region. The city hosted the XV Olympic Winter Games in 1988.

At the foot of the Rocky Mountains, calgary shows is about 1048 meters above sea level. Two major rivers around the city, Bow River flows from west to run to the south, while the elbow is flowing from south to north, until he meets with the Bow River near downtown. A dry town, Calgary receives relatively little snow and rain.

Calgary economy is largely driven by oil, agriculture and tourism as the other contributors to the City of Economic Growth. The city is second only to Toronto in the heart of the country for its corporate headquarters and claims a higher GDP per capita than any other major Canadian city. Its center is full of skyscrapers, under which the Calgary Tower stands as a symbol of the city divided.

Calgary has become a modern metropolis, while adhering to the tradition of hotel saloons, hockey and western music. A multi-cultural melting pot, it has one of the largest Chinatowns in Canada as well as Little Italy. The city boasts the largest urban park in North America, the Calgary Fish Creek Provincial Park is also home to the world's most extensive skyway network, 15, as the bridges are normally 15 feet above grade.

Calgary is home to several annual festivals like the Folk Music Festival, The Lilac Festival, and the second largest Caribbean festival in the country-Carifest, among others. However, the city's most famous festivals of the shows in calgary Stampede, a huge agricultural fair and rodeo every year in July. The Stampede goes back 93 years and is the self-proclaimed "greatest outdoor show on Earth". Known as the Nashville of the North, the city also played a key role in the revival of country music in the 1990s
