Impressions of Calgary

Like so many times before, I have my air miles, our flights to calgary concert listings (with the Westjet Airmiles Mastercard you get to fly in the west for only 1600 Airmiles instead of 3000 Airmiles in high season for use with other carriers) to book. As an astute traveler you have to look at every possibility cutting your travel costs and Airmiles is one of my favorite tools. A direct flight took us from Toronto to Calgary in about three and a half hours.

We arrived at the airport in Calgary was about 11:25 clock and the weather is rather cloudy on arrival with an outside temperature of -12 degrees Celsius. Because we only had about a day in calgary concerts, was an official tour through the city to really give us the location of the land and Jocelyne Morrison from Time Out For Touring was there to pick us up. Jocelyne itself is originally from Quebec but has lived in Calgary for the past 10 years. And it turns out, she loves the city and is an absolute expert in it.
